Melbourne, November 4 : The woman who claimed that Justin Beiber is the father of her child could herself be charged with statutory rape.

According to California state law anyone who has unlawful sex with a minor and is not more than three years older is guilty of a misdemeanour.
Mariah Yeater, 20, had filed a lawsuit claiming that Justin Bieber is the father of her child and demanded that he take a paternity test and `provide adequate support' for her four-month old baby.
However, she herself could be investigated for statutory rape because of the singer's age.
"If it''s brought to our attention, of course we''ll look into it," news. au quoted Police Commander Andrew Smith as telling a news agency.
The charges could get Yeates up to one year in jail.
"The issue of statutory rape even if she''s guilty has no bearing on the duties to provide child support," Yeater''s lawyer Matthew Pare was quoted as saying.
Justin Bieber has denied these claims calling them `malicious' and `defamatory'. (ANI)

New Delhi, Nov 5 : She made her Bollywood debut opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan in "Asoka", but her acting career didn't go very far. After a bumpy ride as an actress, Hrishitaa Bhatt has turned producer with "Shakal Pe Mat Jaa" and says the transition was always on her mind.

"I started as an actress, but being a producer was always on my mind. Shubh Mukherjee (writer and director of the film) is an old friend. He came to me with the script and I decided to produce it. The story developed into a lovely script. It is a comical satire," Hrishitaa told IANS on the phone from Mumbai.
"I have had a little practical knowledge of what goes into production - whichever films I worked in, I used to see what production was all about. I am really happy with the way this film has turned out. It was initially difficult, but everyone has been very cooperative and worked really hard," said the 30-year-old, whose production house is called IPIX Movies.
"Shakal Pe Mat Ja" is about four boys who are detained at the Delhi international airport on a high-alert day. They are caught while filming the landing of an American Airlines aircraft. They explain to the authorities that they needed the footage for their documentary film, but this is not taken seriously and they are sent for interrogation.
The film deals with goof-ups, mistaken identities. Co-produced by IPIX Movies and Linc Entertainment, the cast includes Shubh, Pratik Katare, Saurabh Shukla, Raghuveer Yadav and Aamna Shariff.
Hrishitaa, who featured in films like "Ab Tak Chhappan", "Charas: A Joint Operation", "Heroes" and "Haasil", is happy with changes in the industry.
"The industry has changed big time... a lot of new talents is coming up. Technology has improved so much... new technologically advanced equipment is being used. It is good to see that we are adapting to cultural changes," she said.
However, even before the release, the film has got into trouble with the censor board over the use of some words in the promos.
The actress said she's quite confused about the objections raised, adding: "I really don't understand because I have seen other bold commercial films. They have raised objections over the language used in the promos. The issue still needs to be sorted out."(IANS)

Justin Bieber has hired a crisis management team over allegations that he fathered a child with an LA fan, according to reports.

The 17-year-old Canadian pop star has hired crisis management bigwig Matthew Hiltzik of Hiltzik Strategies to deal with the allegations made by Mariah Yeater, 20, that the ‘Baby’ hitmaker got her pregnant backstage after one of his shows.
“While we haven’t yet seen the lawsuit, it’s sad that someone would fabricate malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claims,” Fox News quoted Hiltzik as saying.
“We will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations on behalf of Justin Bieber,” he said.
On the other hand, Glenn Selig of The Publicity Agency feels that Bieber may be seeking advice on how to put an end to the controversy quickly or trying to figure out how to deal with the reality that his squeaky-clean image will soon be tarnished, if he is the real father.
“If he is not sure whether he’s the dad, he’s figuring out what he’s going to do to make sure he makes the best decisions and his career is not irreparably harmed,” Selig said.
“Deny, deny, deny is the knee jerk reaction from those who are unskilled in crisis management falsely thinking the story will just go away. Big mistake if the report is true.

No matter what criticisms are levied on Hollywood, one good thing about it is that it often reflects reality around and is rooted to its own ideals and traditions. Hence, topical incidents find a reflection soon enough in its films, unlike Bollywood that is perennially free floating in a nonexistent hyperspace. Thus, its war produces war films and its recent economic depression, has well, produced depressing films. "Tower Heist" incidentally, is a funny film about this depression.
After realizing that all their money has been scammed by an investment banker who is under arrest and investigation, the workers of an expensive high-rise building where the banker resides, scheme to get back what is rightfully theirs. Since none of them is a professional thief, they hire one to train and assist them.
Though funnymen Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy helm this film, it is not entirely a comedy. The first half is funny, while in the second, it metamorphoses into a racy action thriller. The transition is seamless. And that is one of its strengths.
In terms of its social responsibility, though this one does not claim any, films like "Tower Heist" will go a long way in the cinematic exorcism of many of its nations evils. There are millions like the workers in the tower, whose entire life savings were wiped out by corporate greed that caused the recent economic depression. The film will perhaps provide a much needed catharsis to those who have been denied the same by real life.
And to provide audiences with that feel good factor, it creates a villain that is recognized by those affected. In reality however, the corporate systems created a structure, where no one person was responsible for losing billions. When everyone is responsible, who do you blame? Reality, sadly, will not replicate this film.
"Tower Heist" thus provides a very real entertainment and fantasy-exorcism to its audience, even to those sitting in India and not as effected by depression as Americans. In creating a super villain whose villainy is not obvious but is internal, it challenges our poor, average protagonists who are just the opposite - they are visibly honest with their inner emotions. It thus becomes a supremely satisfying fantasy to see our heroes rise up to the occasion and pull off an impossible heist against a man who's an expert hand at this.
The pairing of opposites Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy, works for the film. The casting of the other characters, Matthew Broderick, Casey Affleck and Gabourey Sidibe is also spot on. Since it's a film with many characters, to do this casting correctly was obviously very important.
"Tower Heist" may not be like a typical laugh-riot or your summer blockbuster. Yet in mixing genres, good performances, and a steady pace, it manages to deliver good humour, thrill and a good-natured, sweet vengeance.

Series Plot Summary:
The Brawlers' reign as number one in Bakugan Interspace is killed by two new powerful teams: Team Anubias and Team Sellon. To make matters worse, Dan and Drago continuously suffer from visions sent to them by Mag Mel and Razenoid. These cause them to lose fans rapidly when Drago loses control in battle several times, threatening the lives of all the children in Interspace. Shun and Marucho find themselves unable to help as Dan is keeping everything to himself. When Dan loses control once again and nearly kills Anubias in battle, all of Dan's fans abandon him and he leaves for New Vestroia to train. Shun, meanwhile, takes the reins of leader of the Battle Brawlers and charges himself with the task of returning the Brawlers to their former glory. When the Chaos Bakugan start destroying Interspace, Spectra appears out of nowhere to help the Brawlers out and destroys many of the Chaos Bakugan. Afterwards, Dan returns, but is out of sync and accidentally defeats his fellow brawlers with Zenthon. He tells them later about Mag Mel (Spectra left beforehand, disappointed in Dan having changed). Shun walks out and dismisses Taylean's words. Dan later has a vision (which is true) about Gundalia being attacked by Mag Mel (who is now free). Dan arrives and tells them about Gundalia, which Paige confirms unexpectedly. The Brawlers dismiss Dan and don't let him go, but Dan says somewhat angrily that he's not asking; he's telling them that he is an original brawler and isn't gonna be cut from this fight. They let him come along and save Ren's home world.
